Episode 13.1: Yoga Yearnings and Salon Slogans

Monday 9th January 2017 at The Wardrobe Theatre.

It’s a fresh and breezy new year in Newtown but Pablo is saddened by his failing salon. Billy and Fred pitch slogans and jingles to try and attract custom and it eventually works, to Pablo’s delight! Consequentially, Billy and Fred consider setting up a marketing agency. Meanwhile, Simpkins is mourning the disappearance of his ex-wife, Rita.

After the revelation that Scarlett is adopted, Big Dick Johnson confronts Gina who fiercely defends her position as Scarlett’s mother in every way that matters. Later, she encourages her daughter’s passions by creating a Yoga Retreat in the pub garden (whilst cutting the furious Harold and Suzi out of the picture) but Big Dick can’t help but provoke Scarlett to ponder why she and her mother are so different.

Memorable Moments:

  • Pablo giving Fred an ultimate full body massage under a disco ball
  • Harold’s hair and shirt blowing furiously in the wind
  • Billy and Fred’s improvised salon jingles
  • Simpkins cryptic ravings as he talks to “Mirror Man” about the missing Rita

Will Scarlett learn the truth that she’s adopted?
How will Suzi and Harold reap their revenge on Gina?
Where has Rita been and will Simpkins ever get over her?
