Episode 13.3: Fine Art, Families & Flamingos

Monday 6th February 2017 at The Wardrobe Theatre.

As a storm brews over Newtown the depressed Harold wanders lonely as a cloud, while secret artist Constance weeps over her long-absent lover Spencer, vowing to remain silent until his return. Meanwhile, still pining for his ex-wife, Rita, the newly-vested Simpkins has opened a modern art gallery where Pablo is struck by Constance’s powerful depictions of town life.

Across town, Billy is having financial problems: not only has his business venture with a repentant Fred failed but he’s struggling to get rent off his two new lodgers, Candi and Scarlett. Scarlett is torn between living with her new best friend and staying at home with her mother but in the end Gina wins out and gets both Candi and Scarlett to move in. Buoyed by her lover Big Dick, a seemingly perfect nuclear family is formed… but will Candi be able to hide her dismay at living with Dick, her secret uncle?

Memorable Moments:

  • Big Dick getting a new haircut making him feel like a flamingo.
  • Constance using contemporary dance to express her pain.
  • Gina’s sexy seduction of Big Dick Johnson in Candi’s redecorated bedroom.
  • Pablo’s detailed and emotional descriptions of Constance’s artworks in the art gallery

Will Candi be able to handle the torment of living with Dick, her secret uncle?
How long will Constance’s vow of silence last?
When will Scarlett learn the truth of her adoption?
