Episode 11.1: The Reappearance of Constance

Monday 18th January 2016 at The Wardrobe Theatre

It’s been 12 months since we last visited the small community of Newtown and since her exile, no-one has seen Constance (she’s been alone in her flat, slowly going mad). Simpkins and Rita are living happily together in the hotel having won full custody of Constance’s baby twins but Rita feels they are so lucky that they should be doing more for charity. Simpkins however is more concerned with making Big Dick Johnson pay his child support fees.

Meanwhile, Suzi is on a mission to reinvent herself and so gets some expert tuition on how to be saucy from Harold and Fred. Fred himself has contracted arthritis and so is getting Reg to help him renovate Café Barracuda. A passion for interior decoration is ignited within Reg and he transforms the café in time for a party. That night as the community gather, they spot a lonely and bedraggled figure in a dirty dressing gown and try to coax this stranger inside, lovingly offering food and shelter. But suddenly as she throws her tangled hair aside, everyone screams as they realise it is Constance returned!

Memorable Moments:
– Harold out jogging on Lyle Hill “New year, new me”
– Fred’s pangs of pain as he suffers with his arthritis
– Big Dick knocking at Constance’s door relentlessly

Now that Constance is back, how will the community react?
Can Rita persuade Simpkins to share their wealth and give to charity?
Will Reg pursue his dreams as an interior decorator?
