It’s been 6 months since we last visited this idiosyncratic town and after some brutal auditions, Harold dramatically breaks down at Pablo’s Salon. Reg concludes Pablo is to blame and so takes Harold home and over-protectively locks him away – but Pablo swears to get Harold back! Meanwhile, Scarlett never knew her father but after finding an old uniform of his, starts leading the new Newtown Scouts Group! Gina finally reveals Scarlett’s dad was a one-night-stand she never heard from again called Arthur James Shaw.
After 6 months, the secret of Constance and Spencer’s juicy affair is out! A married man, Spencer is crippled with guilt while Constance is publicly branded a home-wrecker. Simpkins is the only person to stand up for her. Since his brush with death, Simpkins is a changed man and it is revealed he even saved Fred’s life by donating many of his own organs. Later that night however, the news of the affair provokes something deep within Fred who goes mad and strangely becomes part-Simpkins, venomously blackmailing Spencer and threatening to tell his wife everything!
– Several flashbacks to Harold’s horrible audition as he has to strip naked and become an ice-cube
– Spencer flirtatiously talking about his Scouts Plumbing Badge, winking at Constance as he comments: “I know a certain plughole that needs a bit of hair removal…!”
