Season 14.2: Baby Bumps and Back Row Humps

Reg, recently crowned Mr Newtown, gets a further boost to his confidence when hairstylist Monica gives him some hair gel – he believes it makes him suave and smooth, indeed a whole new man called Regford! Constance is not enjoying her victory as much, as she did cheat and it has not made her any friends. When Regford comes along she tries some of his hair gel and their heads get stuck together, what else to do then but got see a film and get fruity on the back row?! Over at the pub, Gina is trying to help Pablo find the fun in life – but first he has to face his pain. After much self-flagellation, Gina gives him a motherly cuddle but leaps to the other side of the room in shock when Pablo kisses her!

Meanwhile, AJ has noticed that Monica is pregnant, but is distracted when new book shop owner in town, Eliza, appears at the hair salon – he went to school in Oldtown with her and has been in love with her ever since. Eliza has already met Candi Johnson at her bookshop and shut her into the storeroom with the books to try and help her find herself. Simpkins comes along and thinks that Candi is making up Eliza, she becomes convinced that Eliza is imaginary and takes some convincing she isn’t when Eliza comes back. Candi then feels Eliza needs to be taught a lesson (even though she has offered Candi a job) and shut in her own storeroom, but things get out of hand and Eliza gets a punch in the face. AJ arrives to tell Eliza he loves her and is shocked to see her bruised and bloody face!

Memorable Moments:

  • Pablo whipping himself with a towel to get his pain out
  • Reg’s incredible Tom Waits-style spoken word song on his new smooth persona, Regford
  • Candi reading a few pages of Harry Potter and then thinking she should be a wizard
